Poor sweet Sam. What the hello kitty, guys!? How did that happen? I kind of suspected something because he was changing so drastically and wasn't saying much. I have no clue how this will all go down in the next book.

Robert Swindells lives on the Yorkshire moors and is a full-time writer. He has won the Children's Book Award twice, for BROTHER IN THE LAND and for ROOM 13. In 1994, he won the Carnegie Medal for STONE COLD, and also the Sheffield Book Award. Stone Cold starts off when Link (not his real name but is what he is referred to) leaves his house after his mother marries an abusive man who treats him badly. Link decides to move to London, and when he fails to find work he becomes homeless. After getting his watch stolen on the first night Link meets a fellow homeless man named Ginger who teaches him how to survive on the streets. One day though Ginger and various other homeless people begin to disappear without reason, Link takes it upon himself to find out what has happened. After reading this book I feel very strongly about the rampant problem of broken families, which is perhaps the root cause of homeless people on streets. The message I get is that parents should be responsible for their family. If unfortunately one of the parents betrays his family then the other should sacrifice his or her life for the children. But selfish parents never think of it and then their children rot on the streets…this is what was the story of Link. Shelter: Shelter is a 47-year-old man who has retired from army. He is a psychopath serial killer, prowling the streets of London on a mission to rid the city of "dossers," as he calls them. He talks about street kids and kills many of them, because he hates them "I can clean up the garbage, can't I? They can't stop me doing that and I will, by golly I will." As you can see by the way he talks, he seems dangerous. He is actually making an army of ‘dead people.’ He acts soft from outside that you can’t even think of such a guy can commit a murder. He thinks that he is doing a good job by killing homeless people. He thinks he is an intelligent serial killer as he goes on a killing spree without being caught. He is really confident, or should I say over confident about no one catching him. He persuades people on the street (homeless) to come to his house for free food and a warm bed and when they come he kills them. He keeps the ‘dead people’ army under his floorboard. He buys them shoes and cut their hairs. I dislike this character because of his cruelty to towards homeless people. If u would read this book you will start to make an extremely bad image of shelter in your mind. From political awakening, war and unrequited love to addiction, teenage pregnancy and nuclear holocaust, The Originals confront big issues and articulate difficult truths.ROTH: perchè devi saltare fuori con quelle frasi a inizio libro?

Harry Finn is an ex-SEAL. He's a doting husband and father but he's also someone who's helping his mother seek revenge for the death of his father. One by one, the CIA agents who were involved in his murder must pay with their lives. Oliver Stone was one of them. A multitude of things happened in Stone Cold. I felt sad for Oliver, he has lost everything except for his friends from the Camel Club. Gray was a great adversary. An evil man with his own personal agenda.

I liked the length of the book - easy for the target audience (teenagers) to read, and digest and easy for me to speed through it when I didn't want to put it down! Link fell in love with Gale and felt betrayed when he found out about who she really was. The mental illness that Shelter has is also a very important subject in the book. I have always been a fan of paranormal YA stories by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Why such a low rating this time? I had to take one star down because of cheesy dialogues and writing style. Second star was taken down because of stereotypical characters and dragged out plotline. And another stars was taken down because of the worst case of love triangle ever. Let me explain. Stone Cold Touch is book two in The Dark Elements series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. OH…MY…GOSH!!!!! This book was amazing. I don’t even know where to start except that I loved it! Throughout, bland and occasionally awkward language (is "poncy-looking dude" really appropriate for a sixteen-year-old teen from 1993, Bradford?) distract and disinter the more mature reader, but there are a couple of stand out moments:

Retailers:

Oliver Stone, the leader of the mysterious group that calls itself the Camel Club, is both feared and respected by those who've crossed his path. Keeping a vigilant watch over our leaders in Washington, D.C., the Camel Club has won over some allies, but it has also earned formidable enemies - including those in power who will do anything to prevent Stone and his friends from uncovering the hidden, secret work of the government. Trouble at home was the reason for Link to move away from home. Link felt betrayed by his family because no one was looking for him, there was no one who cared about if he was alive or dead.

Además, lo que pasa en las habitaciones... PASAN MUCHAS COSAS, ¿OK? I think the book would equally appeal to boys and girls because of Link and Gail. I would give this book five star rating because it is full of emotions and tells you about the life of homeless people on one hand and brings out the ugly face of our society in which a husband betrays his wife, who in turn betrays her children by bringing in a boyfriend rather than devoting her life to her children. This sad story of Link highlights the tragedy, which the children of broken families had to face in our society. I thought this book was brilliant!! I really enjoyed reading it. I think this was the best book I have read so far, and gives me more reason to read more books. You can make your own image about it, and that makes the book as well as it is. The author wrote the book in a very gripping manner so it is easy to imagine how Link feels like and what he thinks about. In my point of view the novel is very realistic in its description of the life on the streets. This is no fairy tale. It's a grim depiction of homelessness, and a sharp criticism of our apathy towards it. I think that Stone cold was a thrilling and gripping story and the way that Robert Swindells captured the evilness of shelter was amazing. This teaches us a lesson of how bad it is living on the street homeless with a serial killer looking for you. As you can see Link shouldn’t have left home. At least he had his mother to look after and who knows what Vince would’ve done to Link’s mother afterwards. Ugh. I feel so so lame for not realising this would mainly be about Zayne from the Title. STONE COLD TOUCH. DUHHHH. Distressed by Ginger's absence, Link finds solace in the company of a mysterious young woman named Gail who is new to streets and wants to learn from him. He continues to search for Ginger, not knowing that Shelter has his eye on him too and soon he finds himself in a very dangerous situation.
